8 SITUATII INCOMODE LA CUMPARATURI #AwkwardShoppingSituations_blog fashion Adriana Vieriu

[RO]                                                                                                                                        [EN]

Iata-le!

Anna Dello Russo_blog fashion Bacau_Shoes Quotes

#1. Urme de deodorant! Urat! Groaznic! Scarbos!

Daca sunt pantaloni si iti plac enorm, cumpara-i!

During the sales period, there were some situations I had to deal with, while I was shopping in malls or local shops. Here they are!

Kenneth Cole_blog fashion Bacau_Underwear Quotes

#1. Traces of deodorant! Ugly! Terrible! Nasty! The common sense won’t let you to get a piece of clothing dirty, especially if you don’t buy it, right after you tried it! It’s hard enough (mentally speaking) the fact that the sweater was tried on by dozens of people before you, and after all, you will be the one to buy it! But to see the traces… nasty!

#2. Traces of foundation! Idem no #1. Besides, the marks of deodorant are easy to wash, but the stain of foundation… that’s a tough one.

#3. Broken straps & no tags! There are a lot of types of fabric out there and one can never know how to wash them, how to iron them and so on. Therefore, the tags with the instructions are useful! Over time, I never payed attention to it, but, at some point, when you load the washing machine, it’s good to know the contraindications.

#4. Crumpled and creased clothing items! No need to tell you more on this topic!

#5. “We don’t have your size!” When you buy something on sales, you assume to have some problems regarding the size available in the stores. But even on the first day of sales?! Really, not even one size “S”?! If it’s about a pair of pants that you really like, just buy them! It’s a matter of time to find a tailor to fix it, although that’s impossible if there are leather pants or if they have a weird print. If you can’t find the size that fits on a shirt, top, blazer or sweater, consider in buying a larger size! Have you ever heard of “oversized shirt” and “boyfriend jeans”?!

#6. Unglued & scratched shoes! Really sad! You wait them patiently to go on sales and, when you decide to buy them, some girl tried them before and scratched them! Am I the only one that is capable of detecting the print on those shoes just to find that girl with a bad habit?! Well, if you really like them and they are suede, you can fix them with a soft brush and water + vinegar. If they are unglued and if you think you can glue them back and won’t be noticeable, just buy them and wear them proudly!

#7. One price tag on it, another price tag at the cash register! That’s outrageous!

#8. That moment when you fight with someone on a specific clothing item! Just like in the movies, except, in real life, it’s not that funny!

SALES… RESET AND RESTART! Blog de moda Bacau

[RO]                                                                                                                                                       [EN]

DECIZII, DECIZII, DECIZII! Iata cateva aspecte care sper sa iti ridice niste semne de intrebare in ceea ce priveste shopping-ul in perioada de #sales!

The sales period (Winter Sales  January-mid February & Summer Sales  July-mid August) is a good reason to bring on the table all the money set aside and begin to catch up regarding the shopping. Most often, we don’t even keep track of what we spend during the entire year.

The fuss around the stores begins faster than expected and the red tags become the most important thing in the world. Given the temptation of all the discounts, the most important thing is to be honest with yourself and to weight things up before getting to the cash register. Do I really need this shirt? How can I match this skirt? Isn’t this dress too short for my style? This purse looks just the same with the one that I already have in my closet… DECISIONS, DECISIONS, DECISIONS! Here are some real aspects meant to raise you some questions marks regarding the shopping frenzy during the #sales period!

#1. But I no longer like it!

From experience and out of the simple observation upon my friend’s behaviors, the shoes that you want so badly, once bought, they become no longer in your radar afterwards. (not available for everyone). You’ve admired them in the display window, you try them on, you’ve seen them in different colors, but the price is way above what you can pay for. So, you wait for the sales period more than anything, just to buy them at the perfect price. You bought them! You wore them once or twice and then… you don’t really like them anymore! There is no logic explanation for that! Usually, we want the things we can’t get, but we have to understand that “the new vibe” isn’t going to last forever and those shoes become way above your interest. Here’s another thing: You will see them on the street style more often because… they were on sale and other girls took advantage of it just like you did!

#2. Poncho is the “it” clothing item! I should buy one!

No! No! No! It’s not a good idea to buy clothing items that don’t suit you just because they became a trend. You will buy the specific one, even pay o fortune for it, and you’ll realize that it’s not really your style, it highlights the worst in your figure, you can’t find a proper opportunity to wear it, and the list could go on. When you are in a store, you think and re-think before buying it: Is it suitable for more than one occasion? It’s a “classic” clothing item? Can I wear it next year? Here are some examples: the black biker boots, the neutral pencil skirt, a cashmere sweater, a denim jacket, a leather jacket, a basic white t-shirt, a trench. These are the clothing items that will never go out of style, that’s why it will cost you more that you expected, so I advise you not to compromise the quality. Just to be clear, it’s not mandatory to buy only classics every time you go shopping, just choose the versatile ones. Do your thing, but do not waste money on a “whim” just because is in trend!

#3. The brand guarantees the quality!

No! No! No! It’s the fabric and the tailoring that give the quality of a particular clothing item! Either you choose to wear the label or the product itself. In fact, what you wish for is a piece of the brand or a piece of clothing? If you’re lucky, you’ll get them both! As I said before, you will look ridiculous if you wear something that is not suitable for your style, even if it has the right label. The people will notice a strained outfit!

✔ Rate everything going through your hand in cold blood!

✔ ✔ Would you like that product if it would be at a reduced price?

✔ ✔ ✔ It would draw your attention if it would be a “no brand”?
